The Royal Wedding/Johnathan Michael’s Watch Party Recap!
It is no surprise that the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was last weekend and created quite a buzz nation wide. If you happened to miss it (though I’m not sure how that is possible with all the coverage that was taking place) don’t worry we have you covered with a little recap!
Johnathan Michael’s did not joke around when it came to the wedding and hosted one of the best watch parties! Decked out with a tea bar, tea sandwiches, scones, even more desserts (who knew that was possible!) and of course wonderful décor to get you feeling like royalty!
Now let’s talk wedding details!
There was something about this royal wedding that made everyone swoon. From the beautiful connection you could see even on TV between Harry and Meghan, to the little details we got to see placed into the wedding as a reminder of Princess Diana like the flowers Harry picked from her garden, to the turquoise ring that Meghan wore. However the most talked about piece of the wedding seems to be THE DRESS!
While there are so many different aspects to this wedding, the most controversial seems to be the first dress Meghan wore designed by Clare Waight Keller, Givenchy’s first female artistic director. Regal, elegant, yet beautifully simple would be some words we would use to describe it, but it seemed a lot of people wanted more! There has been a lot of development as to why she went with this design and why she did not instead pick a dress that had tons of embellishments or was more tightly fitted to her body. Meghan took on her role of Duchess of Sussex flawlessly.

Some more notable elements to the wedding:
-The extremely moving choir performance where they sang Stand By Me (take the time to look it up if you have not already seen it!)
-The second dress that Meghan wore designed by Stella McCartney
-Their wonderful wedding party that included all children of friends and family, which is not out of the ordinary for royal weddings. It also made for some very funny photos!
-Lastly all of the wonderful outfits we got to admire from both royal families and celebrity friends of the couple!
